Operation in London 1828

In his preaching diary Thomas makes a note in 1828 that

“From the 18^th of Feby till the 22^nd of March I was from home in London undergoing a great & severe operatn, viz, the removal of a Tumour weighing Six Pounds & one ounce from my left knee”
